Toshiba TB-FC30 Waste Toner Box
Solution for the Toshiba 2000AC Waste Toner Box Replacement/Call for Service Code CD40.
What is the cd40 error on Toshiba printer?:
The Toshiba CD40 error code indicates that a Toshiba printer has experienced a “waste toner box full” or “waste toner duct clogged” issue. Because the machine generates waste toner during the imaging process, when the waste toner box is full and the duct is clogged, the machine will stop operating to prevent further damage. To resolve this issue, the user typically needs to replace the waste toner box and clear the blockage in the waste toner duct.
Causes of CD40 Errors:
• Waste Toner Box Full: When the machine’s waste toner box reaches its maximum capacity, a prompt to replace the waste toner box will be issued.
• Waste Toner duct clogged: If the user ignores the replacement prompt and continues to use the machine, the waste toner duct may become clogged, causing waste toner overflow or damage.
Solution:
1. Replace the waste toner box: Follow the machine’s prompts to replace it with a new one.
2. Clear the blockage: Clear the blockage in the waste toner duct, which may require professional assistance.
The Toshiba 2000AC displays a device maintenance request code CD40. The waste toner box is full and needs to be cleaned. Cleaning usually resolves the problem. If the problem persists after cleaning, replace the waste toner box.

1. Whether cleaning the waste toner or replacing the waste toner box, you must perform the code operation.
2. If the printer is off, do not turn off the main power switch. Turn off the power button on the panel. Wait 10 to 30 seconds after turning it off. Press and hold the Start and Clear buttons, then press the power button to turn it on (the power button will be pressed after it turns on). Enter the password: #1048# on the screen. Select 08 Setup Mode → 4541 → Change the value to 0.
3. After the operation is complete, select Yes to restart the printer. The setup process is complete.
