Sharp MX-237 Toner Cartridge
Summary of Common Sharp Black and White Copier Troubleshooting Issues:
1. Sharp displays CH code
There are two possibilities: Solid CH light, flashing CH; as shown in the picture below:
1) Solid CH light indicates the side cover or front cover is not properly closed.
Solution: Close the side cover and front cover or the sensor on the detection cover again.
2) Flashing CH light indicates incorrect developer tank carrier concentration.
Solution: Check the developer tank or developer carrier; replace the developer carrier, etc.
2. Sharp displays “Little Man Light and Little Sun Light” warning signs, as shown in the picture below:
Little Man Light: Indicates the machine’s maintenance counter has reached the end of its lifespan.
Sun Light: Indicates the machine’s developer counter has reached the end of its lifespan.
Solution:
1) Enter maintenance mode:
“#” key → “Insert” key → “C” key → “Insert” key
“#/P” key → “*” key → “C” key → “*” key
“C” key → “Insert” key → “0” key → “Insert” key
2) Enter code 20-1 to clear the Little Man Light, 42-1 1. Eliminate the sun lamp.
3) Poor print quality requires replacement of the OPC drum, blade, and developer; developer replacement requires developer initialization.
Developer initialization method:
a. Enter maintenance mode;
b. Enter code 25 and press the start button, enter code 2 and press the start button again. Wait a few minutes for the carrier initialization value to be displayed, the default is 120-150;
c. Press the full machine clear button to exit maintenance mode
4) Methods to clear the small man light and small sun lamp on new BP SF series monochrome printers:
a. Enter maintenance mode and press # * C * keys in sequence
b. Reset items 1, 7, 8, and 9 in item 24-4 to clear the small man light
Reset item 24-5 to clear the small sun lamp
c. Press the full machine clear button to exit maintenance mode
3. Sharp printer displays a “triangle symbol” warning indicator, as shown in the picture below:
Flashing: Refilling toner or low toner level; Solid: Toner depleted
Solution:
a. Confirm whether a brand new toner cartridge or a brand new chip has been replaced;
b. Replace the toner cartridge;
4. Sharp machine error code “F2-40” means: Incorrect toner concentration
Notes:
a. Too little or too much carrier;
b. Too little or too much carrier can also cause abnormal toner dispensing.
Solution: Replace the carrier and re-initialize it.
5. Sharp machine error code “H4-00” means: Fuser assembly thermistor low-temperature detection error
Solution:
a. Enter service mode, enter code 14 and press the start button, enter code 1 and press the start button, press the full machine clear button to exit service mode, and see if the clearing is successful;
b. Check and clean the fuser lamp, thermistor, and thermostat of the fuser assembly.
