Forced Toner Supply Procedure for Konica Minolta Models (e.g., 184, 195, 205i, 225i, 227i, 226, 206)
If you encounter issues such as light printing or a “Replace Toner Cartridge” prompt (even when toner remains in the cartridge) on these models during daily operation, you can use the forced toner supply function to adjust and verify the system.
Operation Method:
1. Insert the toner cartridge and enter Service Mode: Press the following keys in sequence… Utility/Menu -> Stop -> 0 -> 0 -> Stop -> 0 -> 1; models ending with “I” require a password—enter “927292” and press the “OK” key (see image below):
2. Service Interface: In the Service Mode interface, press the “Down” key to select “Function,” press “OK”, then scroll down to select “Toner Supply” (see image below):
After selecting “Toner Supply” and confirming, wait 30–60 seconds for the forced toner supply process to complete. Then, exit Service Mode, turn the machine off and back on, and verify that it is functioning correctly (see image below):
Note: The Toner Supply function may be useful when the machine has symptoms such as faint printing, a Toner Empty warning, or certain toner-related error conditions such as C2557, or a “Toner Empty” alert occurring while toner remains in the cartridge. These symptoms can have multiple possible causes. Forced toner supply should be treated as a diagnostic or service procedure rather than a universal solution.
